Before & after

What we do
Concrete Driveways
We have the expertise to build your concrete driveway from start to finish, with excavation and ground preparation incorporated where required.
A concrete driveway project generally involves removing any existing material, excavating and preparing the ground to the correct level, forming the driveway's footprint, preparing a proper base, and then completing the concrete work itself. We manage this process from start to finish rather than treating excavation as a separate job.
Crushed Rock Driveways
Crushed rock is a practical, lower-cost driveway surface, well suited to longer driveways and properties where a hard-wearing, permeable surface is preferred over a solid concrete finish. We prepare the base and lay and compact the crushed rock to form a stable driveway surface.
Recycled Asphalt Driveways
Recycled asphalt is another driveway surface we install, giving a firmer, more finished surface than crushed rock. It's a practical middle option between a crushed rock driveway and a full concrete driveway, depending on budget and the finish you want.
What's included
Driveway Repairs
We repair existing driveways — concrete, crushed rock or recycled asphalt — where sections have cracked, sunk, washed out or otherwise deteriorated. Repair work can be a targeted fix to a specific section, or, where the existing driveway has failed more broadly, part of a larger resurfacing job.
Driveway Widening & Extensions
Where an existing driveway is too narrow or doesn't reach far enough into the property, we widen or extend driveways to match the existing surface as closely as possible, or resurface the whole driveway where a clean match isn't practical.
Excavation & Base Preparation
Every driveway project depends on the excavation and base preparation done beforehand — removing existing material, cutting to the correct level, and preparing a base that will support the finished surface long-term. We carry out this excavation and preparation as part of the driveway project; see our Excavation page for more detail.
Choosing and cost
Which do you need?
Concrete vs Crushed Rock vs Recycled Asphalt
Each driveway surface suits different priorities. Concrete gives the most solid, lowest-maintenance, longest-lasting finish, at a higher upfront cost. Crushed rock is the lowest-cost option and suits longer driveways or a more permeable surface, but needs periodic top-ups over time. Recycled asphalt sits between the two — a firmer surface than crushed rock at a lower cost than concrete. There's no single best option; the right surface depends on budget, the length and use of the driveway, and the finish you want.
What Affects the Cost of a Driveway?
Driveway pricing depends on the length and width of the driveway, the surface chosen, how much excavation and base preparation is needed, existing ground conditions, and site access. A short crushed rock driveway on a straightforward site is a very different job to a long concrete driveway that needs significant excavation.
